Summer Picnic
Since 1990, Families Exploring Down Syndrome has hosted a summer picnic. Members, and their families and friends, enjoy an afternoon of good food and fun. There are games and prizes for the kids. The adults enjoy making new connections, or reconnecting, in a casual, relaxed atmosphere. It is an enjoyable day for all, and we hope you will join us at our next picnic.
Summer Picnic Thanks
The 2009 picnic, held on July 12th, was a huge success. The weather was perfect, the food delicious, and kids of all ages had a great time.
FEDS appreciates the work of the many generous hands that made the picnic possible. A big thank you to the Lempinen family for chairing the picnic. Everyone appreciated the work of our grillers - Bob Talbot, Pat Lempinen, and John DesRosiers. Our game crew - Martina Pardue, Kadi Coe, and Cindy Banaszewski - delighted the kids with their games and prizes. Thanks to all those that helped with set up as well as clean up. Last, but not least, thank you to Sarah Schultz for shopping throughout the year for the kids' raffle prizes.
