Club 21
In the spring of 2011 the idea of "Club 21" was explored. The clever name was chosen, not because members have to be 21, but because it is a club for individuals with Down syndrome which officially is named Trisomy 21.
Club 21 is a club for older teens and young adult FEDS members with Down syndrome from 16 to 99. Club 21 members come and hang out with friends while dancing with our DJ and enjoying some food.
To be a part of Club 21 there is a form to be filled out and a yearly fee of $25 to be paid. This will get you into all our dances or other events for free (unless there are additional fees for special events).
We encourage parents to drop off their young person, but they are always welcome to stay too. Those who have additional challenges or have caregivers are invited to stay with their client.
The activities for the 2010 – 2011 school year are currently:
The Halloween Dance on October 21, 2011
A Holiday Dance on December 16, 2011
A Valentine Dance on February 10, 2012
A Spring Fling on April 27, 2012
